Matteson, IL Position Summary The Licensing Office Specialist works to ensure that the day-to-day operations of the office run smoothly.
Hours:
Monday through Friday, 9am - 5pm Compensation:
$18-20/hr Responsibilities The Licensing Office Specialist will perform duties including, but not limited to:
Perform all work in a manner consistent with the National Youth Advocate Program's mission, values, and philosophies.
Perform office licensing duties including filing, copying, typing, and answering phones.
Take messages as needed.
Distribute information to appropriate staff.
Maintain clear and concise records in all areas.
Track supplies and request orders.
Maintain/Create Excel and Word spreadsheets to help organize work.
Distribute incoming mail and create/send outgoing communication via mail and/or email.
Maintain and update all foster home records in appropriate systems and in the licensing file.
Work with current, former, and prospective foster parents to answer questions and provide support.
Provide reminder calls to foster parents regarding upcoming trainings and appointment.
Coordinator meeting and/or communications between licensing staff and community partners.
Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Previous experience and proficiency in the use of various office machines, including computers.
Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
